OUR SCHOOLAll About Me
Young Carers Group
All About Me is our Young Carers Group for children who have additional responsibilities at home in a caring capacity, whether this is supporting parents, grandparents or siblings. We hold 1 session each term and this gives the children an opportunity to do something fun for a couple of hours and spend some time with other children who are dealing with similar situations to them.
Surrey Young Carers Angel Award
Some of our young carers are also part of Surrey Young Carers who have supported us with our group and we are delighted to announce that on Friday 19th November we were given the Angel Award by Surrey Young Carers. Representatives from Surrey Young carers came into school and presented us with a plaque and a certificate and treated our All About Me group to some doughnuts. We are delighted to be recognised for the group that we run in school and the work that goes into looking after our Young Carers across the school. Please click on this link to find out more about the Angel Award. We even made it into the recent Surrey Young Carers Newsletter
For more information about All About Me, please ask to speak with Marie, our Home School Link Worker, or Emma our Welfare Officer.
All About Me – Christmas Quiz December 2021
On Thursday 16th December we held a Christmas Quiz for our All About Me group. We asked the Year groups to come up with their own team names, we had a combined Year 3 & 4 team called Team Hershey, Year 4 were called Team Snowflake, Year 5 were called The Cheesy Elves and Year 6 wanted to be known as the Big Bananas! We shared some treats with the children and then they answered some Christmassy questions. All the teams did very well and the scores were level throughout! We are looking forward to being able to do some more exciting activities next term – watch this space!
