OUR CURRICULUMPE & Sports
At Buckland, the aim of PE is to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Through the ongoing development of our PE curriculum, we pride ourselves in being able to offer a full range of activities across the key stages. Within PE we help the children to develop an understanding of how their bodies move and grow along with specific skill development related to individual sports.
Along with the extensive PE curriculum delivered by the children’s teachers and sports focus, we also have a thriving extra-curricular programme with a vast amount of clubs on offer for the children. Buckland has gone from strength to strength when it comes to sport. Competing in numerous leagues and competitions throughout the year, Buckland has an impressive reputation for being both competitive and demonstrating good sportsmanship.
With inclusivity being at the heart of the schools ethos, the PE and sports curriculum takes pride in ensuring every child has the opportunity to take part in PE and sport as well as representing their school and wearing their school colours. Regardless of your child’s ability we will endeavour to give them the of pride they get when representing their school.
