Monday 19th March
Please take care on your journey into school today as some roads/pavements may be slippery. Late marks will not apply this morning to enable all children to arrive safely. If you are late please enter school via the office. Thank you
At Buckland Primary School we are committed to ensuring every pupil leaves school with high aspirations for themselves and others, an enduring passion for learning and the confidence to face challenges resiliently.
Together as a school community we devised, share and believe in our vision:
We teach key skills and knowledge through a broad and balanced curriculum incorporating our extensive school grounds; motivating each child in their own learning and developing in them the self-belief that success is theirs to own.
A strong learning community is central to the success of our school and its pupils where each person has a valuable part to play in the school’s achievements and development. To be successful it is important that staff, pupils, parents and Governors recognise their responsibilities collectively and individually. This commitment ensures we achieve the BEST for everyone. At Buckland we value the partnership which exists between school, parents and the wider community and the part it plays in realising our whole school vision. Working together ensures we take responsibility for the academic, social and emotional well-being of pupils and families in our care.
All event information listed on the calendar is correct at time of publishing, please check School Newsletters and parentmail texts and emails for any changes.

Buckland Primary School recognises its responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children under Section 175 of the 2002 Education Act and under the Children Act 2004 and the DfE guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children 2016.
This includes checking the suitability of all staff and volunteers; ensuring that we have effective procedures for identifying and managing all issues likely to cause significant harm to children; ensuring a safe environment in which our pupils can learn and development; enabling our pupils to acquire the relevant knowledge and information; and working with other agencies as appropriate.
