In recent years, Buckland has gone from strength to strength when it comes to sport. We compete in the numerous leagues and tournaments including; boys and girls football, tag rugby, netball, hockey, athletics, cricket, rounders, dodgeball, cricket.

We pride ourselves on the children having a wide range of extra-curricular activities for the children to attend. These range from football and netball to skiing and sailing.

Every child is proud to represent the school and wear the school colours with honour. Buckland has become a highly competitive school, winning leagues, competitions and tournaments and reaching several county finals; never forgetting to have fun along the way. Every child has an opportunity to represent the school in a variety of sports and within the tiered Spelthorne Leagues and competitions.

As a school we try to create as many opportunities so that everyone gets the chance to wear their school colours. We have a range of competition levels across the school and Spelthorne ensuring all children have the opportunity to compete.

Our Year 6 sports journalists consistently report on competitions and matches, their job is to attend fixtures and competitions and to take notes and photograph the team. The journalists then write a detailed match report, which is shared within school and uploaded to the school website.

Buckland has enjoyed a wide range of success within a variety of sport recently and with the sporting ethos now embedded throughout the school, it is only a matter of time before Buckland are celebrating their next triumph!
