Forms and Policies

It is important that parents know about the policies that we have at school. You will find some of our key School policies detailed below. If you would like more information  or a paper copy please do get in touch with us via the School Office.

On the forms page you can download commonly used forms. If you would like to see any other forms here please let us know.

At our last OFSTED inspection it was noted that attendance at the school had improved to expected levels. We have worked hard together to make a great deal of progress in this area and are continuing to do so. The policy below explains how we manage attendance – please do read it carefully. We have highlighted the potential impact of late arrival and missed days at the end of the policy for your information.

On Thursday 5th October 2017 we will be holding an open evening for all prospective parents applying for a Reception place for 2018.

The evening will start at 6pm with refreshments and at 6.15pm our Headteacher, Mrs Rebecca Hutton, will give a short welcome and presentation.  After this you are invited to look around the school and meet some of our staff.  Some of our Year 6 ambassadors will also be available to show you around and answer any questions you may have.  You do not need to book a place to attend the open evening, please just come along on the night.  You are welcome to bring your children so that they can have a look around the school as well.

We will also be arranging mornings where we invite parents to come and have a look at the school “in action”.  The dates for this are to  be confirmed but sign up sheets will be available at the open evening.  Please note you will need to contact us to book a space for the morning showround – your children are again welcome to come along with you.

We would encourage you to look through the information on our website which will give you an overview of the school itself, however if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

Parents Involvement in School

We believe a strong partnership between parents and the school is vital for the progress and happiness of the children.

We work hard to maintain good communication channels and parents, carers and other family members are welcome in school. We send regular newsletters home letting parents know what is happening in school, what future events are planned and how successful and enjoyable the activities have been. Information about the curriculum is regularly sent to parents as well as invitations to meetings on subjects such as reading and the SATs.

You will have several opportunities during the year to meet your child’s teacher. At the end of each academic year you will receive your child’s Record of Achievement which details their progress over the year and what their targets are for future progress.

You will also be warmly welcomed into school for events such as assemblies and productions, open days and sports days. We are delighted to receive parental assistance in school and on trips and outings.

We always welcome comments and suggestions from parents and carers. From time to time we will also seek your opinions more formally through questionnaires and parent consultation groups and meetings.

We have five parent representatives on the governing body of the school and you would be warmly welcomed to stand for election when a vacancy arises.
